Pocket Passport Photo Studio is designed to format passport-style photos without sending photos or face measurements to the app developer. The core workflow runs on your device and requires no account.
Data collection
The app developer does not collect data from this app. The app includes no advertising, tracking, analytics SDK, or app event collection. App code does not upload photos, image metadata, face measurements, validation results, or device identifiers.
Apple may provide the developer with aggregate App Store analytics and diagnostics when users have chosen to share that information with developers. Apple controls that collection under its own privacy policies; the app does not contain code that sends those events.
Photos and face measurements
Source photos, camera frames, face rectangles, landmarks, pose measurements, segmentation results, and validation results are processed on the device. They are held only for the active workflow and are not added to an app-owned history.
Generated JPG files are created from newly rendered pixels and do not copy source EXIF, GPS, IPTC, XMP, filename, device, date, or face-region metadata. Output files retain only the image and metadata needed for dimensions, color, compression, and print density.
Permissions
- Camera access is requested only after you choose Take Photo.
- The system photo picker gives the app access only to the item you choose.
- Add-only Photos access is requested only after you choose Save to Photos.
The core workflow does not request contacts, location, microphone, broad photo-library read access, tracking permission, or an account.
Storage and deletion
The app does not keep a photo history. Photos and derived measurements are held only while the active workflow needs them. Temporary JPG files required by the system share sheet are protected and removed after sharing completes or is cancelled. A finished image persists only when you explicitly save or share it to a destination you choose.
User-chosen services
You can choose a sharing, printing, Files, Photos, or cloud destination. Those external services may transfer or retain the exported image according to their own settings and privacy practices. The app does not initiate those transfers without an explicit user action.
Changes and contact
Material changes to app data handling will be reflected in this policy and in App Store privacy disclosures. Privacy questions can be sent to pocket2x2photo@icloud.com.
